Benefits

The Employee Benefits department is responsible for managing the IAEC Health Care Plan and the plans sponsored by Hawkeye Insurance Association (HIA). The department also performs all human resources and payroll services for IAEC staff.

Education & Training

Our Education and Training department is responsible for identifying needs and organizing training and educational opportunities for the employees and directors of Iowa's electric cooperatives. Each year, more than 2,500 people take advantage of IAEC's 50+ educational and training events.

Our Government Relations department is responsible for managing legislative representation at the state and national levels, while also organizing grassroots efforts through Iowa Rural Power which advocates for safe, reliable, affordable power that is environmentally responsible.

Regulatory Affairs

The Regulatory Affairs Department is responsible for many issues with the executive and judicial branches of government. The department also manages model documents, energy efficiency reports, and other policy projects on behalf of our member co-ops.

Safety

Our Safety & Loss Control department manages safety training and general work procedures training in addition to accident investigation, communicating compliance information, and first aid and CPR training. The department activates the Emergency Preparedness Plan and the Iowa Disaster Plan as needed. We also administer the Rural Electric Safety Achievement Program (RESAP) to promote a proactive safety culture.
